Franz Josef motel owner dips into hot tub business – Stuff.co.nz

We were delighted to be featured in an article on Stuff.co.nz this month - where we talked about how we got started and what this business means to me.

Joanne Naish had a chat with us about how we started Waiho Hot Tubs, how business looks in a post-pandemic world, and also about our recent win of the Resilience Award at the Tourism Industry Aotearoa’s NZ Tourism Awards 

This award has been a great acknowledgement of our hard work and love for the Franz Josef community.

“A  survey by Development West Coast found 16 businesses had closed and more than 500 people lost their jobs in Franz and Fox Glacier since Covid-19.”

Franz Josef Hot Pools was one of the business that wasn’t able to get back going after the lock down, and I knew the community was missing having the hot pools – so the idea of Waiho Hot Tubs was born. You can read a little more about how we got started here.
